How to Start a New Bluehost Account
June 19th, 2008 by FloridaHere are a couple tips and instructions for creating a Bluehost account in the state of Florida:
If you are starting a new account for your Florida hosting, then get right to step number 1. If you are transferring an account from another server, there are a couple of things to do first:
1. Download all your email from all accounts in your old system. Once you make the transfer, it will be difficult to go back to get your email. If you are canceling an account at another Florida hosting company, then your email will likely be deleted or virtually impossible to recover, so get it now!
2. Make sure you get all the files off your old server that you think you will need. This includes any web site files that you are going to transfer to your new Florida Bluehost account.
Now you are ready to get going, here are the steps:
1. If you already own a domain, log into your domain manager account (such as GoDaddy, Network Solutions, or TuCows) and change the Name Servers to the following:
ns1.bluehost.com
ns2.bluehost.com
If you do not have a domain, Bluehost will give you a free domain as part of your account set up. Just follow the instructions to apply for your new domain. They will tell you if your choice is already taken, and will allow you to try again.
2. Next, click the link below and create a new Bluehost account, and follow the steps listed below:
A. Choose the green Sign Up Now button in the center of the screen;
B. Choose the second option; ‘Transfer Clients’ on the next screen, and enter your domain name;
C. Complete the sign up and payment forms. You can get 1 year or 2 years, whichever you prefer.
3. Login to your new control panel and get started with your new Florida Bluehost server!
